In many respects the technology provided by Contarra Systems provides an operating system for telecoms applications and services. These applications represent an important stream of revenue for the telecom operators who bring them to market. Examples of their offerings include things like mobile ring tones, televoting, financial transactions, directory services, call center automation systems, information delivery systems and so on. A cool ring tone or the ability to conduct a financial transaction on a mobile phone are services and applications that people are coming to take for granted in their daily lives. What practically none of these people know is that Contarra technology is at the heart of more than 1000 systems providing exactly these applications and services worldwide. Contarra Systems is a truly global operation serving the technology requirements of the worldwide telecommunications network. Contarra Systems is a sales-driven telecom services company and strong growth in the telecoms services market is leading us to extend our sales and delivery capacity in order to expand market share in countries where Contarra is already established, develop new markets in countries with high growth potential and broaden the product offering with a portfolio of ‘hot applications’ based on Contarra Systems’ core technology. The framework we provide opens the way for our partners to add value by adapting our technology to specific requirements and integrating it with other architectures. In some instances our technology is already embedded within large scale solution architectures, for example in Tenovis business solutions. With more than 10 years of development in our Paris laboratory directed primarily at designing and building the world class Cameleon Convergence Platform, the focus of our development activity is expanding to encompass additional activities aimed at the requirements of system integrators. Its not only about providing support for every protocol and meeting every standard; Contarra is also aiming to invest significantly in improving the overall interoperability and accessibility levels of our products for application designers and system integrators, making the most frequently requested applications such as directory services, IVR & call center applications, pre-paid services, FAQ applications and internet telephony (e.g. VoIP) applications continually easier to construct and implement. We anticipate that the coming year will present many new challenges and opportunities for technology and solution providers throughout the telecom industry.
